In addition to the features of its predecessor, the live tracking of the own location and the real-time danger warnings in the country of residence, the new app offers some further, extremely helpful features: immediate emergency assistance and medical advice around the clock, worldwide, as well as an easy-to-use management system for your important insurance and travel documents, with which you can, among other things, easily send claims for reimbursement directly to your insurer so that they can be processed as quickly as possible. Thanks to the relaxation of the ban on remote treatment, patients can under certain circumstances be advised and treated by a doctor via the Internet. In this way, a visit to the doctor can be avoided and with it the risk of infecting oneself or others in the waiting room.
Telemedicine also closes the supply gaps in places where the distance to the nearest doctor is 60 kilometers or patients have to wait months for a specialist appointment.

For the use of MY-SAFETY-APP 2, its contents and functions, we do not charge you as an end user any fees. To access the content or receive an SMS, however, you need an Internet/GPS connection and a telephone connection to use the emergency button. Depending on the form of your mobile phone contract, your provider will charge you corresponding telecommunication costs.
When using the app abroad, the roaming option must be activated on your mobile device. Depending on the mobile network used outside the EU, roaming charges for using the app and its features and accessing the content (e.g. sending/receiving SMS messages, incoming and outgoing calls, mobile data connection) may differ from your home network. We therefore strongly recommend that you check with your network operator about these costs prior to your trip.
